FAQ

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is a 24 hour event where "hackers" all over the globe will collaborate on creating a functioning software and hardware by the end of the event.

Who can attend?

DragonHacks is open to all university students aged 18 or older. No prior hackathon or experience is necessary since the event will have workshops and plenty of learning opportunities.

Will transportation be reimbursed?

Sorry, we aren't able to do that this year.

When and where is it?

The hackathon is the weekend of April 13th, 2024. It will be held in-person at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business (3220 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19104). More details about the event will be emailed to you closer to the event date!

What if I don't have a team or idea?

Many of our hackers don't have a team coming in, and find them at the event! We have a ton of team-forming activities to help you find teammates and idea brainstorming sessions for all our tracks.

How many members can a team have?

Each team may have a maximum of three members.

How much does this cost?

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, DragonHacks is free for all who attend! Yipee!

Are there prizes?

Yup. We'll go over those in more detail at the event.
